Secretary General for Gender Equality

Zetta M. MAKRI

Graduate of the Law School of the University of Athens. Studies on European and EU Law at the University of Cambridge. Lawyer at the Supreme Court. At the Greek National Elections in 2000 and in 2004 she was elected Member of the Hellenic Parliament for the County of Magnisia/Thessaly. Since January 2011 she has been Head of  Major Minority at the Municipality of Volos, Magnisia. In July 2012 she was appointed Secretary General for Gender Equality by a common decision by the Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior. She speaks English, French and German. She is a mother of two sons with an active social profile.
